Hans was workshop leader, band member and co-founder of The Transformers. The Transformers is a Rotterdam-based band consisting of professional musicians, musicians who have experiences with homelessness, professional caretakers and everything in between. Together they transform their different life experiences into songs

This trailer was made for the theatre play Het Leven Zelf, directed by Loek de Bakker. Hans composed a soundtrack (title track together with Guy Corneille) and songs for the actors to perform live in the piece. It got good reviews but unfortunately it only toured shortly in 2022.

In 2022, Hans joined AYA on an exchange to Indonesia. With a choreographer, dancer and composer, together a new piece was created. Hans wrote songs about the history of The Netherlands and Indonesia, but also learned a traditional seductive dance! This is the first of a series of videos documenting the process.

Hans was to perform in this new opera as member of the choir. The trailer was made and rehearsals were in full swing, and then a pandemic happened. Later, this piece was still performed, but Hans was unavavaible due to conflicting schedule.

This video was made to accompany the song from Shake Shake Shake. The dancers from this performers are also dancing in this video.

Hans took part in the first edition of the traineeship NKK NXT, organised by the Dutch Chamber Choir (Nederlands Kamerkoor). In this traineeship, young choir singers are invited to design an innovative choir concert. The video explains more about the traineeship. The first edition resulted in Tune Out Burn In, a concert and performance about burn-out of young people. Hans sang in the choir, also composed a piece and conducted guided improvisation.

This song was firstly written as a solo piano piece. It was also performed as such in Shake Shake Shake by De Dansers. However, together with Guy Corneille, melody and lyrics were written so that the song could also be performed by the band La Corneille. The sound of the piano damper pedal resembled the sound of the peddle of a rowing boat, which became the inspiration for this video.

Hans has been working with De Dansers for over a decade. A lot of videos have been made about productions in the past. This is an aftermovie from Ten Noorden van Nergens at the Down the Rabbit Hole festival

This video is a live 'living room concert' by La Corneille. This concert was part of a big living room tour in The Netherlands. It is already a long time ago, but Hans always likes to look back at this video to see the band in its prime.
